Tornado Weekly: April 22-28, 2012

When considering what late April can bring, this was a relatively quiet week for tornadoes. The day with the biggest potential — April 27 — did not end up producing as it could have. Given the events of the same week last year, it’s nice to see April go out on a much calmer note this go around.

Tornadoes were reported on four of the days, with a majority of the confirmed touchdowns occurring in Colorado after midnight Thursday night into Friday early morning. A total of five states saw tornado reports throughout the period.
