Tornado Chasing

Talking storms and making new friends on Chaser Chat

I had the opportunity to meet up with Gabriel Harber in an episode of the recently launched Chaser Chat. He helped feed my storm deprivation syndrome (SDS) in a fun and thoughtful way.

In this episode I went on and on about what brought me to the weather world, how I fell in love with storms, my most noteworthy chase experiences, and more. There was also some storm ingredient shop that was talked.

It’s a great pod, overall. The description of the pilot says it all, or at least a good deal of it:

“Jeff Frame shares tips and tricks for forecasting and chasing severe weather, and Gabriel Harber interviews notable members of the storm chasing community.”

In the midst of the longest year ever of 2020, Gabriel and our friend Jeff Frame launched the chat that the chasing world has been missing. While preparing for our discussion, I gave a number of shows a listen. I must say, I was impressed.

Although it’s a relative newcomer on the podcast scene, the show has already featured some of chasing’s greats like Skip Talbot, Dr. Leigh Orf, and our Case Archive wizard Cameron Nixon as well as a growing list of others.

The show can be accessed at Apple PodcastsSpotify, and at the Chaser Chat web site.

It’s a funny and wonky kinda storm chat. Just what we all love. Check it out. You won’t be sorry that you did.
