Tornadoes were plentiful in 2023, and numbers are likely to finish near or above average.
The year started off fast with tornadoes in the South and then reached a chase-season peak in June. With that peak came a slew of photogenic tornadoes.
While June might have had the greatest number of lookers, there were memorable twisters across the year.
